A Cacao Ceremony & Sound Healing Journey
Event Description
The ceremonial portion will be lovingly guided by Laura, beginning with the sharing of ceremonial cacao, a heart-opening plant ally offered with intention, gratitude, and reverence.
This gathering is held as an offering — a moment to pause, give thanks for the gift of being alive, and honor the pulse that moves through us all. Rooted in the energy of a birthday month, the ceremony carries a gentle blessing of renewal, reflection, and celebration — not of one life alone, but of life itself.
Together, we will gather in celebration of life itself — the subtle and powerful pulse that moves through our bodies, the earth, and all living things. We will hold a collective intention rooted in presence, vitality, and attunement to the natural rhythms within and around us. From this shared field, each participant will also be invited to set a personal intention, supported by the sweet and loving medicine of Abuela Cacao.
This ceremony is participatory. You are welcome to:
• chant and sing medicine songs
• bring a simple hand instrument (drum, shaker, rattle)
• move, breathe, listen, and offer your presence
An altar will hold our collective prayers and intentions. Feel free to bring:
• an offering (seeds, flowers, crystals, symbolic items)
• and/or an object to be charged with the energy of the ceremony
Sound Healing Journey
As the ceremony unfolds, Jono will guide a deeply immersive sound healing journey, using a rich array of instruments to reflect and amplify the rhythms of life — heartbeat, breath, wave, and flow. This is a time to surrender, receive, and allow sound to move through you, harmonizing body, heart, and spirit.
This is a participatory ceremony, and you are warmly welcome to:
* chant or sing medicine songs
* bring a simple hand instrument (drum, shaker, rattle)
* contribute through presence, silence, or deep listening
A central altar will hold our collective prayers and intentions.
Please bring an item of significance to add to the community altar for this celebration, which you will be able to take it back home with you afterward.
Preparation and Notes
* Please avoid alcohol and recreational drugs for 24-48 hours prior to the
ceremony.
* Eat lightly or fast on the day of the event to receive the fullest benefit from the cacao medicine.
* Hydrate well before, during, and after the ceremony, as cacao is a natural diuretic.
* We will be seated on the floor-please dress comfortably.
* DFW Crystals provides yoga mats, floor pillows, and blankets for your comfort.

Jono Rang is a well-established practitioner, respected community leader, and skilled facilitator of sacred ceremonial spaces.
Over the past several years, he has dedicated his life to supporting others on their paths to physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Jono specializes in Thai bodywork, Reiki, and sound healing.
His certifications include cupping therapy, Thai bodywork, EMDR, somatic therapy, Reiki Level 3 Master Teacher, and Lomi Lomi massage.
Jono firmly believes that true healing must come from within. He works collaboratively with his clients to uncover and address deep, unprocessed trauma and stored emotions held in the body. By integrating his expertise in bodywork, sound healing, and somatic therapy, Jono helps clients return to a sense of wholeness and well-being.
Outside of his healing work, Jono enjoys meditating, walking, spending time at the beach, hiking in the mountains, reading, journaling, ecstatic dance, attending local sweat lodges, and supporting other community leaders by participating in conscious events.
Laura Santa Anna is a visionary healer with more than 20 years of experience in the holistic healing arts. She has developed her own signature healing techniques and is highly regarded for her expertise in facilitating cacao ceremonies.
