The Gathering

As the sun reaches its fullest expression and light stretches generously across the Earth, we gather in honor of the Summer Solstice — a sacred turning point that invites us to reflect on our own inner light.

The solstice reminds us that we, too, are meant to shine.

This gathering is an invitation to pause and reconnect with the radiant essence within yourself — the part of you that longs to be seen clearly, expressed fully, and lived authentically. Just as the sun illuminates the world around us, this circle offers space to ask for clarity within our own lives: clarity of heart, path, purpose, and presence.

Laura will gently guide the opening of the circle through the sharing of ceremonial-grade cacao, offered with deep gratitude and reverence for the sacred lands, traditions, and wisdom keepers from which this medicine comes. Inspired by recent time spent in the Mayan lands of cacao with respected guardian and elder Abuelo Efren, this gathering is held with humility, respect, and heartfelt intention.

Together, we will sip cacao in community, settle into reflection, and open ourselves to the warmth, wisdom, and vitality of the season. Participants will be invited to set personal intentions centered around illumination, expansion, healing, creativity, joy, or whatever the heart is calling forward during this season of light.

This is a gentle and welcoming space where you are invited to participate in whatever way feels nourishing to you. You may choose to:

• chant or sing medicine songs
• bring a simple hand instrument (drum, shaker, rattle)
• meditate, journal, move, or simply rest in presence
• connect quietly with yourself, the community, and the energy of the season

A community altar will hold our collective intentions and prayers. You are welcome to bring:

• a meaningful object, crystal, flower, or symbolic item
• an item you would like infused with the energy of the gathering

Sound Healing Journey

Following the cacao circle, Jono will guide an immersive sound healing journey intuitively attuned to the energy and needs of the group.

Using a rich array of instruments — including crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, and other resonant textures — he creates a deeply supportive soundscape designed to calm the nervous system, open the heart, and invite participants into deeper states of rest, reflection, and energetic alignment.

This portion of the journey is an opportunity to soften, receive, and allow sound to gently carry you inward — where insight, emotion, peace, and clarity often naturally arise.

Preparation & Practical Notes

• Please avoid alcohol and recreational drugs for 24–48 hours prior to the gathering
• Eat lightly or fast on the day of the event to receive the fullest benefit from cacao
• Hydrate well before and after, as cacao is a natural diuretic
• We will be seated on the floor, so please dress comfortably
