The Planets: The “Who” of the Chart
Explore the planets as the core “players” in astrology and discover what each represents within the birth chart.
If the natal chart tells a story, the planets are its cast of characters. Each represents a different part of who we are—our identity, emotions, communication style, desires, motivations, relationships, ambitions, growth, and transformation.
In this class, we’ll meet the planets as the central forces of astrology and explore how each one expresses a unique facet of the human psyche. From the illuminating energy of the Sun and the emotional world of the Moon to the expansive influence of Jupiter and the transformative power of Pluto, you’ll begin to understand who is doing what within an astrological chart.
In this class, you’ll learn:

The core themes, functions, and symbolism of each planet

How the planets influence personality, emotional needs, desires, motivations, and behavior

The differences between personal, social, and outer planets

How planetary dignity—including rulership, exaltation, detriment, and fall—can influence the way a planet expresses itself

How planets interact with the signs they occupy

How to begin interpreting planetary placements within a natal chart

How to move beyond memorized keywords and begin seeing the planets as living archetypal energies
By the end of class, you’ll begin to recognize the planets as the “who” of the chart—the cast of characters driving the astrological story.
This foundational understanding will prepare you to explore the next layers of the chart and begin weaving individual placements together into a deeper, more intuitive interpretation.
