Beginner Shamanic Drum Circle Series - Class 1 of 5 - Mon 1/4 @ 7pm

Beginner Shamanic Drum Circle Series

The shamanic drum circle is an introduction to shamanic practice. Each class in

this beginner series builds on the previous one, both in knowledge and practice.

For this reason, these courses are intended to be attended by people who are

serious about developing a regular, ongoing practice.

Registration & Drop-In Policy:

Because each class directly builds on the techniques taught in the previous weeks,

this series is designed as a progressive commitment rather than a drop-in

program.

For New Beginners: If you missed Class 1, please wait for the next series

rather than registering mid-stream. Because the curriculum moves forward

sequentially, the instructor is unable to back up to fill in missing

foundational gaps for mid-series arrivals, which can lead to a confusing and

frustrating experience for you. We will launch our next beginner series in

2027 (starting in January and July)—we would love to have you join us at

the start of either cohort!

For Experienced Journeyers: If you already have established experience

with shamanic journeywork specifically (distinct from general meditation or

community drum circles), you are welcome to drop in to individual sessions

within this series.

Class 1: Introduction to Shamanic Cosmology & Brain States

The beginner series policy above applies to this class.

In this foundational session, students are introduced to shamanic cosmology,

exploring what shamanic practice is, its core principles, and how it can bring

clarity and balance to daily life. We will also examine the neuroscience behind

journeying, including brainwave states and why shifting these states is vital for

effective shamanic work. The class concludes with a guided meditation to anchor

the material, followed by dedicated time for journaling, reflection, and addressing

questions or initial blocks.
